This clip is an excellent representation on the kind of feel were going for with our film. This is on a much larger scale of course but from analysing we can take bits and pieces from this clip.

The camera shots used in this clip are very faced pasted, which fits in with the high tempo soundtrack. This is something we will definatly be taking into consideration. The mise en scene is also very inspiring, as anything and everything feels like it could collapse at any time, adding a thrilling feel to the film.

Starting The Main Task

After the finalising of our preliminary we are starting our main task.

Throughout the continuation of this blog I will be posting things like:
- Research
- Drafted storyboards/scripts
- Drafted films (from us)
- General updates

Our plan for this task is to focus on an action/thriller type genre involving a fast paced chase scene. This means we will be analysing film openings, clips from films like James Bond, Bourne, Mission Impossible, Fast And Furious and then other films of similar genre moving slightly into comedy, Men In Black, Rush Hour and Bad Boys.

Evaluation

The overall preliminary project went very well, we managed to produce a final project which has allowed us to move on to the main task as well as outlining various problems/situations that we got ourselves into which we can watch out for in the upcoming main task.

Some problems we encountered:
- Filming the conversations in separate takes would have worked better in single takes
- Knowledge of the editing software (imovie) could have been better and would have proved more efficient
- Time management, we would have liked to spend longer on the filming part of the project
- Quality of equipment, the camera that the school provided was not the best, using our own better quality camera would have looked a lot nicer.

For when we move on to doing our main task we will take these points into consideration as well as putting more time and effort into our project!

Final Production!

After spending 7 hours straight editing our film we managed to finish it off. We were very happy with the final product :)

Post-Production

We've finished our film and are now moving on to post production, editing the clips together into our final piece. Once the film is complete I will post the link on this blog.

Starting To Film

We're currently revising our script and storyboard as well as filming in a darkened school class room.

Second/Final Draft Script

We were very happy with how the script turned out after we made this final draft and it fits in really well with our storyboard. We were now at the point to start revising the script and storyboard and start filming.
